Nicole and Sam were absolutely adorable during their Leu Gardens engagement session. I am thrilled to make this our final post of 2016! Definitely looking forward to our 2017 weddings especially with these two.

When Nicole and Sam get near each other they just light up. Everything about their images makes my heart happy. I’m so excited to be apart of Nicole and Sam and celebrating their engagement! Only a few years ago I photographed Sam’s sisters wedding, Katie. I am honored to celebrate another wonderful marriage with their family.

Nicole and Sam first met while in High School, but their relationship never started until they came home for summer break during college. They reconnected while visiting with a group of friends.  They started dating that summer and stayed together even with Nicole going to school at FSU and Sam going to UCF.

After a few years of dating and college graduation, Sam popped the question. Sam set the perfect setting at Cocoa Beach with their friends and family watching from afar. It took Nicole completely by surprise! He set up a blanket with champagne and all of the champagne corks they have kept throughout the years. 

I love when my couples have traditions. Nicole and Sam celebrate every holiday, milestone, anniversary and vacation with a bottle of champagne. They keep the corks and label each one with the date and a detail of the celebration, that way they can look back at them to remember. They have a whole big glass jar of them. We popped a bottle to celebrate their engagement session which was so much fun! I cannot wait until we pop another champagne in celebration for their wedding day!

We had such a blast during their session at Leu Gardens! They had a ton of energy and were so excited to be there. Nicole really wanted a photo of a fun lift photo to resemble an amazing scene from one of my favorite movies of all time, Dirty Dancing. You know the one where Johnny lifts Baby at the end of the movie in the epic dancing scene. After many attempts and lots of laughs… They NAILED IT!!! It is not the exact replica but hey it is Nicole & Sam’s perfect lift! I wonder if they can do this in a tux and wedding dress? We shall see! I love a couple who likes to have fun and be silly during their engagement session.
