I could not wait till it was time to feature Jessica and Josh’s Classic Pink and Blush Wedding! I have a bit of a history with this couple. Josh’s sister is my good friend, so I have known their family for many years. Jessica is such an angel and is the perfect match for Josh. They make everyone around them feel special and you will bust a gut laughing at Josh’s hilarious jokes and puns. He is unstoppable when it comes to puns!
Their love story begins when Jessica and Josh met at a high school. They weren’t students, they were instructors in the band program. Josh was teaching the drumline and Jessica was teaching the color guard. Jessica walked in the band room and Josh stopped in his tracks. He fumbled with some small talk, but after that moment they knew they would never stop talking to each other. They are both extremely talented and are amazing instructors. My assistant used to teach with them and said they were always a great inspiration to the students.
Now, the proposal wasn’t as smooth as a perfectly designed marching show, but they wouldn’t have had it any other way. He planned to do it on their cruise, but the first three attempts were botched. He was going to do it on the beach when they were at port, but Jessica didn’t want to get off the ship. The second attempt was going to be over a formal dinner on the ship, but Jessica had gotten sick so they missed it. The third attempt was during a sunset dinner on their last night, but everyone kept interrupting them. Finally, he proposed in their cabin on the last night. It turned out to be perfect and definitely a moment they wouldn’t forget.
Onto the wedding! There are so many things I love about their wedding, especially their little pup, Sunny. She wore the most adorable tutu! It had lace like her mom’s gorgeous wedding dress and her pink leash matched their color scheme perfectly. Jessica looked stunning, but the details from generations past made the day even more special. Her bouquet was wrapped in lace from her mother’s veil and the ring with initials was from her father. Her heirloom jewelry was passed down from her mother’s wedding and what her mom wore was passed down from her grandmother’s wedding. The beautiful thing is that Jessica’s daughter will get her jewelry on her wedding day. Jessica will wear what her mother wore to hers and the tradition lives on.
Their beautiful indoor ceremony was officiated by one of their closest friends and soft pink up-lighting added a wonderfully romantic feel to the space. You cannot miss Josh’s reaction at their first look! I smile and laugh every time I look at those photos. The celebration continued in their sweet reception. Everyone was having a great time and their details were perfect. Now Jessica, Josh and Sunny are a party of three and I know they are going to have a lifetime of love, laughs, and puns. I hope you all love these photos from their classic pink and blush wedding as much as I do.
xoxo.
