A little Monday morning blogging for you. Rachael & Jeff’s Highland Manor Wedding from this past fall.

Rachael and Jeff lived in the same apartment building sophomore year of college at UF in Gainesville. Rachael met his roommates the summer before junior year at the pool and became good friends with them. Then they moved but continued to hang out with them and Jeff and her were introduced beginning of their junior year. They started talking over Christmas break and started dating after that.

Jeff proposed to Rachael Summer of 2013. They went to Yosemite National Park. After a day of enjoying the views they drove up to glacier point, a scenic lookout at the top of a mountain. It was their last stop before leaving. There were a lot of people around so they climbed down to a little private lookout. Jeff said to Rachael “let’s take a picture.” Rachael went into her backpack to get her phone but couldn’t find it. Instead she found a small black box. As she stood their shocked, he took the box from her and asked her to marry him.

I am such a sap for love stories. What a sweet and romantic way to propose. Well done Jeff!

Living in California, Rachael and Jeff knew they wanted to marry back home where they grew up. They married in the church where Rachael attended as a little girl. Their celebration concluded at the lovely Highland Manor. They loved how beautiful and secluded the venue is and fell in love with the sprawling oaks on the property. It was the perfect backdrop for their portraits.
