Hey there!
Well, blog post #4 this month. I am keeping up with it. Woo hoo!!!
So today I want to introduce you to the new Mr. & Mrs. Williams. Jennifer and Ryan’s story has a special place in my heart. I met Jennifer and her mother, Donna, earlier last year when she was in town dress shopping. Jennifer was going to school to become a teacher and Ryan is a police officer. Her brother, Robbie, is also a police officer as well as guardsmen in the Florida National Guard. We had a lot in common in that area with my hubs being a police officer and had just joined the National Guard.
Jennifer & Ryan’s original plan was to marry in the Orlando area. After notice her brother would be deploying to Afghanistan they decided to wait on the wedding until his return. Robbie would be the one to walk her down the aisle since their father had passed. I had the pleasure of spending time with Jennifer and Donna talking over coffee and just laughing. I loved Jennifer and her mothers fun personalities. Since planning was going to be on hold we decide to just wait for when they were ready to start replanning. A few months later I received an email from Jennifer asking if I had December 15th available and if I would be willing to come to Avon Park/Sebring for her wedding. I was free and was looking forward to it. It was then Jennifer told me that they decided to proceed with the wedding prior to her brothers deployement because their mother just recently passed. My heart broke into a million pieces as I was reading that email. I immediately began to cry. While I spent just a short time with Donna during our consultation I just loved her personality and her side jokes she cracked here and there. My heart was breaking for Jennifer and her family.
When wedding day came I remember waking up that morning and loading my gear into my car and looking at the sky. I said to myself this is going to be a great day. Jennifer looked amazing and Ryan was looking pretty dapper in his suit. Watching this day unfold and seeing everyone who attended gave me comfort. Comfort for Jennifer & Ryan because they have such wonderful and supportive family and friends around them. Their day was filled with lots of smiles and laughter. At time there were tears but mainly smiles & laughter. I’ll never forget the moment and feeling in the room when Ryan looked up and saw Jennifer and her brother at the end of the aisle gliding towards him. The moment they looked at each other and witnessing everyones reactions around me just said it all. It was a perfect day and I know Jennifer’s parents were smiling down on their day.
Jennifer & Ryan, thank you so much for sharing your day with me. I am so honored to have been there. I wish you many years of love and happiness.
xoxo,
Bumby
