The Estate on the Halifax Wedding is a special day that I love to look back on. We had so much fun spending time with Jessica and Jon, along with their families and friends. They definitely know how to party and I simply could not get over how amazing everything turned out on their special day.
Jessica and Jon have been together since their senior year in high school. After being long distance in college, they are now happily together in Florida. They have so many cute things they love to do together, including fun date nights. In fact, every Tuesday is their date night of dollar tacos and also discount movies. Sounds pretty perfect to me!
Now here’s the wonderful story of the proposal. Jon always said that when he proposed it would be just the two of them and then they would see their families afterwards. When it came down to the actual moment, Jon kept his word. He began by telling her they were going to take the boat out on Easter weekend in Ocala while his parents were out. It started to pour while they were on the water, but eventually they escaped the rain and ended up having a nice day on the beach.
As they were heading back Jon turned off the boat, got down on one knee and pulled out a ring box. Right after Jessica happily said yes she heard screaming and cheering from behind her. She turned around and both of their families and friends, along with a banner saying “Jess will you marry me” were waiting for them on the dock. Needless to say, it went from a perfect proposal to a perfect engagement party.
Now on to the wedding. I admit, the weather had me worried, but that is something you get used to in Florida. Thankfully it never officially rained and their wedding day was absolutely perfect. The Estate on the Halifax is such a beautiful venue. The grounds are lovely and unique. Right in the front they even have a restored 1946 Tavern Lounge Car where the groom gets ready. It’s so neat to see in person!
Their outdoor ceremony was decorated with beautiful flowers in soft colors of pinks, purples and whites. They had even incorporated a romantic candle lighting ceremony. The reception space known as The Tavern has so much original character and it’s a great space for entertaining. I just can’t get over how amazing this day was for Jessica and Jon and I hope you all enjoy these lovely photos from The Estate on the Halifax Wedding.
