Hello Friday and Hello I love Amazing Paradise Cove Weddings. I am completely swooning over Chelsea and Drew’s wedding.
I met Chelsea from my dear friend Kim with Chalk Shop. Chelsea is an Art Assistant at Chalk Shop. I was overjoyed when she asked to chat about photographing her wedding. I knew it was going to be beautiful. Once I sat down and met with Chelsea and Drew I knew I had to be there on their day. They are completely adorable together.
Chelsea was hanging out with a friend one evening when she met Drew. They were approached by two gentlemen. One of which was Drew. Drew was the shy one Chelsea says. After chatting with them for a while it was time for Chelsea to go home. Drew decided he wasn’t going to let her leave without exchanging numbers and as she was entering her number Drew snuck in a kiss. 🙂
Fast forward 4 years, a dog and a cat. Chelsea and Drew get engaged. Celebrating their anniversary and they went to dinner at Luma on Park Avenue. They strolled around the rose garden a little before dinner but nothing happened. After dinner Drew asked is she would like to take another walk. Leading her back to the rose garden they sat on bench. There he asked Chelsea to marry him. Of course we know she said yes.
Chelsea has a love for art and Drew has an art for cooking. BBQ to be exact. I adore how they both pulled their love for art and food into their wedding. Chelsea chose beautiful custom designed chalk art displayed throughout their wedding. While Drew focused on pulling in their favorite meals for their guest to enjoy.
There are many wonderful and beautiful little details of their wedding. One of my favorites is the ceremony. They chose a beautiful draping with greenery hanging from the arch where they exchanged vows. Guest sat in french country chairs over looking the water. I did mentioned it is just one of my favorites.
Their reception area was absolutely stunning. From their beautiful florals and lanterns on the table tops to their dessert table. Love is sweet they say, but this one is extra sweet. Chelsea’s sister made with love all the dessert and wedding cake for Chelsea and Drew. The final favorite. Their sweetheart table. Overlooking their guest Chelsea and Drew sat underneath their own custom framed chalk Mr. & Mrs. Vandergrift sign. There were so many simplistic but beautiful elements to their wedding. I think it is safe to say this will go down in my book as one of the most beautiful Paradise Cove weddings.
Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Vandergrift!
