Sweet Historic Engagement Session | Heather & Jonathan

In the heart of downtown Sanford, we had a sweet historic engagement session with Heather and Jonathan. The crazy thing about the shoot was that it was almost over before it even began.  All day we were in a frenzy of text message back in fourth due to rain delays. Then, when a warm ray of sunlight broke through the clouds, we said “let’s do it!” Jumped in our cars and off we went! Thankfully, patience paid off and I was able to get so many phenomenal photos!

It’s amazing to be around them and their positive energy is nothing short of amazing! I mean, it’s no small feat to stay motivated when the hope of a perfect day rests in a small sliver of sunlight. They were determined! You can see for yourself how much love is between these two even when they are doing simple things, like holding hands. Even with our limited time in the sunlight, we pulled off a stunning engagement session. The images that came from it were well worth the last-minute scramble.

Downtown Sanford could not have been a more perfect location. Their love for that old town vibe made it easy for them to fit right into the scenery. Lucky for me, I got to take some stunning photos. Heather and Jonathan will say “I do” in Savannah next fall. Finding special characteristics, like a rustic green door, made for a perfect backdrop. Rusty stairs and bright yellow flowers fit in with the natural charm they were going for. At one point, I even got down on the grass near an old abandoned railroad in order to get the perfect angle. Grass and dirt stains were totally worth the effort!

Heather and Jonathan are so much in love with each other and I can’t wait for their big day in Savannah! Until then I’ll have to leave you with some images from their memorable photo session!
