First Howey Mansion Wedding | Amelia & Rob

Amelia and Rob’s wedding is the First Howey Mansion Wedding couple to say “I Do.” This dream-like space was the perfect setting for a romantic outdoor ceremony. The historic mansion had gorgeous views and a lovely space to celebrate Amelia and Rob. An exciting part for the couple was finding out they would be the first wedding to be held at the Howey Mansion. How cool is that?!

I met Amelia back when our boys played on the same sports team. She was the first mom to walk up and start a conversation with me. With her sweet and exciting personality, we hit it off instantly. In one of our talks she told me she was getting married the following fall, but was in need of some ideas. A big thing she needed was a venue. They considered a beach wedding, but decided to stay local. After giving her several recommendations, nothing stuck. Then after sending her a message to check out the new Howey Mansion, she went that week, and fell in love instantly.

WEDDING DAY!

Leading up to the big day we had several dry days in Florida, complete with fire bans. It was no joke that we needed some rain. Thankfully, we got some. On Amelia and Rob’s wedding day, of course. In fact, it is still raining as I write this blog post. As the weekend approached Amelia expressed her concerns about the weather. I told her I have a rule of thumb. I refuse to look at the weather until the morning of.

Well, the morning of came and the hourly forecast was all over the place. I remember saying, “seriously Mother Nature? The First Howey Mansion Wedding and you are going to rain on it. You are so not cool.” I packed my umbrella and left, hoping for the best. Upon arrival, the birds were chirping and the skies were blue with white puffy clouds.

The weather held out for the most part. However, as the ceremony got closer the call was made to move the reception into the ballroom. Which I may say is not a shabby backup. There were large beautiful windows that let in every bit of light. It glistened off the crystal beaded curtain that framed their gorgeous sweetheart table. A portrait of the lovely couple hung on the mantle overlooking their table.

Now here is one of the most memorable parts of the wedding for me. Before the start of the ceremony, there were only a few sprinkles here and there. Ceremony and portraits went off without a drop. Right as we were finishing up their last few portraits the skies opened and the rain came down. As we ducked for cover Amelia looked at me and said “can we go in the rain?” I looked at her and squealed “Heck Ya Girl!” Love a couple who embraces whatever comes their way and has loads of fun doing it.

It is so exciting to share all these amazing photos from The First Howey Mansion Wedding. The elegance of the venue was breathtaking. That romantic Southern charm vibe is what makes this place the complete package. Amelia and Rob incorporated touches of butterflies and mermaids, along with sparkling crystals for their special day. Personal style and talented vendors made this dream wedding into reality. I just cannot get enough of this very special wedding for Amelia and Rob at the Howey Mansion.
