At Home Engagement Session

WOW!! I cannot believe we are only weeks away from saying goodbye to 2019 and hello to 2020! This year has flown by in the blink of an eye and we have been so blessed to be a part of many amazing love stories along the way. One of those stories is Mackenzie and Justin. We did this At Home Engagement Session and their two adorable fur babies were along for the ride!

The art of love

Mackenzie and Justin met when her coworker/friend set them up. They went to dinner and became best friends instantly. One major thing they bonded over was their love for art. They are both huge art lovers and have made a hobby of collecting art. That is why after a few missed proposal opportunities, Justin picked the perfect location to ask Mackenzie to be his forever.

They are both members of the Orlando Museum of Art, so it was a natural choice. The day of the proposal Justin took Mackenzie her there only to realize it was family day. There were children everywhere! Not the romantic picture he had in his head. They did manage to walk around and look at art including some of Mackenzie’s favorite pieces.

Afterwards, they walked across the street to the Mennello Museum where they found a quite gazebo in the garden near the water. Now that they were in the perfect setting, Justin got down on one knee and proposed. Of course she said yes and the rest is history.

There’s no place like home.

We had so much fun at this engagement session! Not only are Mackenzie and Justin one of the sweetest couples around, but their pets are too cute! Usually we head out to public places for engagement sessions, so it was a real treat to be with them in their home.

Although I am a huge dog lover, I have to say that their cat Maggie May was hilarious. If only we could read her mind! You could clearly tell she was not super thrilled about being in front of the camera, unlike her brother Trooper. He was a hoot- just loved smiling and hamming it up for the camera!

Their home and property is gorgeous!! We were able to get a good variety of settings even though we were essentially in one place. We got some cozy shots in front of the fireplace, outside among the flowers, and even on the boat dock. They were so relaxed and it was fitting that by the end of the session they had kicked off their shoes and put their feet in the pool. It was a chill day, but full of love.

We hope you enjoy this amazing at home engagement session! Stick around because in our next blog post we are going to be sharing their wedding!! That’s right, these two tied the knot a few months ago at, you guessed it, the Orlando Museum of Art. Until the wedding bells, we bring you art, fur children, and love.

xoxo,
