Beautiful Waterfront Wedding Paradise Cove Orlando Mindy & Richard

We have to say Happy Upcoming Wedding Anniversary to Mindy and Richard! That’s right! These two lovebirds celebrated their Beautiful Waterfront Wedding a year ago at Paradise Cove. We loved watching their families come together on their wedding day. When they contacted me and were going over their vision, they said they wanted a relaxing day with family and close friends. Well, that is exactly the kind of day they had.

Waiting patiently for a first date

Mindy and I went to high school together, so there is a lot of history there. She is so adorable and I just love hearing about how these to met. Mindy and Richard met at her job when he was working as a John Deere salesman. She would see him every day, but he would not say hi to her. He said that he always wanted to ask her out, but could not build up the nerve to do it. Therefore, it took him a long time to ask her out on a date.

After a night out with mutual friends he struck up a conversation with Mindy at the office the next day. Once he left, Mindy texted their friend and told him to tell Richard to stop being so afraid to ask her out. Finally, Richard texted Mindy to ask her on a date. When she showed up to his place for their date, he had flowers for her and they spent the evening over a lovely dinner at The Ravenous Pig.

Is it a ‘bust a move’ kind of wedding dress?

Mindy and our girlfriends actually went shopping together for her wedding dress and we had so much fun! We had brunch at Santiago’s Bodega then off to shop. Her original pick was a mermaid dress, but I know how much she likes to get down when she starts dancing. I grabbed a chair and told her to sit in it and she said, “OMG this is hard to sit in!” Then I told her to bust a move and she tried, but was not able to dance and move how she likes.

Blending families on a perfect wedding day

Family was a huge part of Mindy and Richard’s wedding day. This is the second marriage for both of them, so it was beautiful to see two families becoming one. They did a sweet first look by the water. Mindy’s daughter gave her a beautiful hanky before she walked out to see Richard. From there we took a lot of great portraits of them before we made our way over to their ceremony.

This was truly a beautiful waterfront wedding. Mindy was escorted down the aisle by her son and daughter who also stood by her during the ceremony. Richard also had his daughters by his side for the ceremony, which was also officiated by his sister. Their sand ceremony was lovely and all four of their children participated.

After the ceremony we took some lovely family photos with everyone on the beach. When we finished, everyone headed over to their gorgeous reception at the outdoor pavilion. These guys know how to have a great time and everyone was dancing the night away. It was a good call on Mindy’s part to go with the dress that she could move in because man she can definitely bust a move!

I cannot finish without mentioning the delicious cake and desserts made by Mindy’s mom. Not only did everyone think they looked amazing, but they all loved how amazing they tasted! They were the perfect sweet ending to an amazing night spent dancing and celebrating.

It’s definitely something special when you see your friends celebrate their love for each other. I was so thrilled to be there for Mindy leading up to and on her wedding day.
