It’s hard to believe we are halfway through the first month of 2019! It is so crazy how time flies. Thankfully, we are never too busy to share one of our lovely weddings with you. This week it is all about Austin and Joe in their Marywood Retreat and Conference Center Wedding. They chose an amazing wedding venue in the Marywood Retreat and Conference Center. It sits right along the St. John’s River, which was the perfect backdrop for their portraits.

Austin and Joe are such a sweet couple and I knew from the moment they contacted me, that their love was something special. They met in high school when Austin was a junior and Joe was a senior. She had googly eyes for him for a long time!. Then one day her dreams came true and they officially had their first date at their homecoming dance.

During their time together they expanded their family to include their two special pups, Easy and Princess. When you check out their wedding photos, you’ll see how they made it into the wedding in such adorable ways.

A proposal across the Atlantic

Joe proposed to Austin in a romantic setting in his homwtown of Oxelösund, Sweden. It was their third trip to Sweden before Austin began dental school. Joe’s family would go on nature trails together at Fremöre, which is an old military fort with a lighthouse. Such a unique setting for an unforgettable proposal.

A merry wedding at Marywood

Their wedding day was absolutely gorgeous! Austin looked exceptionally beautiful in her wedding dress. The subtle details were perfect for a vintage inspired look. She looked so amazing that her dad was in tears the second he laid eyes on her. It was one of the sweetest daughter and father first looks I have ever seen!

Joe made a very handsome groom and we loved hearing the significance behind his unique cufflinks. They were given to him by his grandfather. They were so unique and the perfect touch to capture in their photos.

Family and friends were all there for Austin and Joe’s Catholic ceremony. It was very sweet the way they would share little looks and smile at each other. You could feel in the air that they were so excited to be married. After the ceremony concluded, we whisked Austin and Joe off for their portraits. There are so amazing portraits of them, especially when we made our way to the long dock overlooking the St John’s River.
