Happy Monday everyone! This week we are bringing you the heartwarming love story of Eileen and Richard in Childhood Sweethearts Wed. These two are the sweetest couple and we knew their wedding day was going to be very special. Wedding photography was very important to them and we were able to capture so many stunning images from their special day.

Magic happens in Alaska

These two lovebirds met Alaska in the 80s. Even at a young age Eileen knew Richard was someone special. They developed a close relationship the more they spent time together at family gatherings. She had a crush on him, but it was not until they were older that they started dating.

Richard had the perfect plan when he was ready to ask Eileen to be his wife. He took her to a rooftop restaurant in Alaska for a romantic dinner. They went to Crow’s Nest, which is located in Captains Cook Hotel. After they finished dinner he proposed. After Eileen said yes she told her friends, but they were skeptical because it just so happened to be April Fool’s Day. They instantly believed her when she showed them her beautiful ring.

Ready for a grand celebration at The Crystal Ballroom

On the morning of their wedding they both got ready at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando North. Eileen was the most beautiful bride! She was glowing in her wedding dress and I have to say her shoes were absolutely fabulous.

I loved capturing those moments when their kids were helping Richard get ready. They are so sweet! Eileen and Richard were lucky to be surrounded by their loved ones as they were getting ready for their big day.

After getting ready Eileen was escorted by her daughter to meet Richard for their first look. Richard had stars in his eyes when he saw Eileen for the first time in her wedding dress. Afterwards, they headed off to their ceremony witnessed by close family and friends. I love their touches of purples in their decor and how they kept it going all throughout the day.

What’s a wedding without a lot of dancing?

We had so much fun at their reception! Not only was the party atmosphere in full swing right from the beginning, but then they added samba dancers to the mix. They were gorgeous and so talented. Everyone was on their feet and having the time of their lives. You can feel the energy through the photos!
