St Augustine Engagement Session

We took a lovely trip up to St Augustine for this amazing engagement session! It is one of our top places to go in Florida, so we could not wait to bring you Kari and Ryan’s St Augustine Engagement Session. There is so much history to discover and the area is really beautiful. The locations for engagement shoots are numerous, so we chose the gorgeous Alpine Groves Park for this one. It was perfect for Kari and Ryan along with their adorable dog, Winnie.

Where it all began

These two lovebirds began their story in college. They were both in the same club and started chatting each other up at a competition in Tampa. Once they got back to Jacksonville Ryan asked Kari out for a bike ride on the beach and they have been together ever since.

It was also on a beach trip where Ryan popped the question. He surprised Kari with a trip down to Key West. They had a romantic dinner and when they got to Mallory Square at sunset he proposed. Thankfully, a stranger passing by snapped a Polaroid of the romantic moment.

An amazing day it was!

As mentioned earlier, Kari and Ryan had their outdoor engagement session at Alpine Groves Park. They began in a casual look, which was perfect for running around with Winnie. I love dogs at engagement sessions! I also absolutely love how Winnie got all dressed up in her cute little bandana, too!

While taking photos we happened upon a historical building. We found out it is called the Bennett House. It was an old citrus sorting shed because the property was once an orange grove homestead back in the day. Very neat to look around if you ever get to travel there.

We finished out our shoot with Kari and Ryan in their date night looks. Of course we made our way back to the Bennett House and took more photos on the lovely front porch. We had so many laughs with these two and Winnie. This day was one of those days that makes your heat smile. The only thing better than this day will be their amazing wedding this fall at Up the Creek Farms!! It is right around the corner, so enjoy their St Augustine engagement session because in a few short months we will be featuring their wedding day!
