This year is going by so fast! It seems like it was just yesterday when we were celebrating Lindsay and Matt’s Dusty Rose and Burgundy Wedding at Up the Creek Farms! We first met this sweet couple last year. We even blogged about their gorgeous engagement session! Take a trip down memory lane by checking it out in a Rustic Outdoor Engagement Session.
Their friendship started all the way back in middle school. It was not until high school that Lindsay developed a crush on Matt. However, they had to wait until senior year to finally have a class together. Now eight years later they have tied the knot!
A dusty rose and burgundy dream wedding
The getting ready portion of the day is one of my favorites. There is always so much excitement in the air in anticipation for the day to come. Lindsay and her bridesmaids had a blast as they spent time hanging out in their beautiful matching robes before putting on their dresses. Lindsay even took a few moments to enjoy the swing in the shade. The smiles and laughter were constant in both of the wedding parties. I cannot forget to mention how we were all crazy about their ring bearer and flower girl. They are too adorable!
The sweetest first looks
Before the ceremony began we captured two first looks. We began with Lindsay and Matt and it was so, so sweet. When Matt turned around you could tell he was amazed by how beautiful Lindsay looked in her full wedding look. We were not surprised because she was stunning and her Hayley Paige dress was a showstopper. It was covered with beautiful details and you cannot miss the back because it made the dress truly unique. Speaking of unique, Matt’s tie was probably one of my favorites!
We could not contain our smiles at the second first look between Lindsay and her father. He was one proud papa when he turned around and saw his beautiful daughter. Their smiles and hugs spoke volumes to the happiness they were both feeling at that moment. It definitely got us excited for the wedding!
If the old oaks could talk they would tell you endless love stories
We just love ceremonies at Up the Creek Farms especially because they have those romantic large old oak trees overlooking the space. It is one of the reasons we made them one of our top picks for wedding venues. Lindsay and Matt’s ceremony was definitely full of romance and a lot of laughs. When the ceremony was over you could tell everyone was ready to have a fun time at their reception.
From the ceremony to the reception, all of their details were stunning! I especially loved their florals! We mentioned in their engagement session post that we were wondering if we would get to see their happy weekend dance. I do not know if we saw it, but there was tons and tons of dancing, so I can pretty much guarantee it made it appearance at some point!
We are so thrilled to have Lindsay and Matt as part of our Bumby Photography Family! We hope you all fall in love with their amazing wedding just as we have. I know we will be swooning over this dusty rose and burgundy wedding at Up the Creek Farms for a long time!
