Florida Southern Charm Wedding Inspirational Shoot Sunny Acres Lodge

It is not hard to be inspired by everything Florida has to offer, especially when it comes to finding the perfect venue and putting all the details together for your special day. That is why this week we are featuring this Florida Southern Charm Wedding inspirational shoot. When some of Florida’s best wedding vendors get together for a shoot about the place they love most, magic happens. I’m not talking about the magic you find at Disney either. Rachael and Taylor from Dandy Details Events did a fantastic job planning and designing this shoot. This team of amazing talent put together a perfectly beautiful wedding at a stunning Central Florida venue.

The Lodge

Sunny Acres Lodge is conveniently located between Orlando and Tampa. The natural beauty of this 1,200 acre property is reason enough to check this place out. The privacy and stunning views are perfect for a wedding and the history of the place is seen throughout the venue. Their mid-century main house offers amazing cathedral ceilings and cypress paneling throughout. I love their brick floors! When the original structure was built back in the 1960s, they salvaged the bricks from the streets of historic Lakeland.

All things Florida

In this shoot, we featured an outdoor reception area that was the epitome of a classic Florida wedding. Pixies and Petals did an outstanding job with the florals. They took the classic combination of green and white to a whole other level. They threw in touches of orange, which went with the Florida theme perfectly. Their work on the tables, bouquet, and decor were amazing, but it was the cake table that really stopped me in my tracks.

The blend of rustic furniture, bright florals, and luscious greenery made the gorgeous cake by Baker’s Cottage Cakes a showstopper. One of the top things you think about when it comes to Florida is citrus and they did a beautiful job making that the focus of their masterpiece. You will also recognize their work from our Vintage Southern Wedding Inspirational Shoot.

Orlando Wedding and Party Rentals did a fantastic job with setting everything up. From the furniture to the decor, it was all lovely and fit that Florida southern charm so well. I adore the sweetheart table. It was simple, elegant, and perfect for our setting.

When it rains, it pours

We had planned to have an amazing ceremony space by the gorgeous lake on the property. As we all know, the weather here can change in a flash, so why would that be any different on a shoot centered around Florida? We had to move the ceremony inside, but it turned out to be another amazing space to feature. The wood paneling and high ceilings are amazing to see. We were not disappointed with having to go with our backup plan, especially since it looked amazing.

Finally, two people who handled all of the craziness with ease were our amazing models. There is nothing like finding that perfect dress and she looked phenomenal in a gown by Pronovias and hair and makeup by Gabriella Anthoney’s Design Artistry. The talented team at Bridal Gallery of Orlando did a fantastic job in choosing the dress. I loved the grooms look just as much. His boutonnière matched the rest of the florals and I could not get over his floral print tie. It was a unique look and it just went together seamlessly.
