A few months ago we brought you the love story of Lauren and Ben. They had a lovely Musical Outdoor Engagement Session earlier this year. Well, this week we are bringing you their wedding in A Wedding at the Citrus Club in downtown Orlando. I knew Lauren from the days when we both were working at Trane. I was ecstatic when they came to me for wedding photography and I could not get enough of them. They are such sweet people and their wedding was absolutely perfect.
Getting ready for a perfect day
Lauren found her perfect dress not once, but twice! Her ceremony dress from David’s Bridal was so lovely. I loved seeing all of the details on the dress like the intricate straps and sparkly accents around the waist. The light layers on the bottom of the dress flowed lightly every time she moved. Beautiful jewelry and a colorful bouquet completed her bridal look. Don’t worry, I’ll get to her reception dress later.
Ben was looking ever so handsome in his blue suit along with a pink tie. His suit was finished off with a boutonnière made of a single white rose and baby’s breath. I loved the color of his tie. In fact, all of the colors in this wedding just went so well together.
Just the two of them
Lauren and Ben did a sweet first look before they made their way to the ceremony. We did their first look outside and everyone could not stop smiling. Their reactions were great and throughout their portraits you could tell they could not wait to get married.
After we were done taking portraits we headed into the Citrus Club for their lovely indoor ceremony. Walking in, my eyes went immediately to the gorgeous chandeliers which led your sight straight down the aisle. The bright colors from Lauren’s bouquet were on display in the florals used to decorate the space. There were a few giggles and tears during the ceremony. When they became husband and wife everyone was all smiles.
Dancing the night away under a downtown skyline
After the ceremony we moved into their reception space where Lauren and Ben shared a sweet first dance. Lauren had a surprise for everyone when she changed into her reception dress. It was a short dress with a high neckline and looked amazing on her while she danced the night away. We even got away for a little bit so Lauren and Ben could do some dancing on the roof. They looked amazing and with the downtown Orlando scenery surrounding them, it just could not have been more perfect.
I was so happy to be a part of Lauren and Ben’s wedding journey. They picked the perfect venue and everyone had a blast celebrating their love with them. Lauren is such a great friend of mine and it made the day so special on my part. I hope you adore these photos from a wedding at the Citrus Club as much as I do!
